ROMAN RUINS OF TROIA

We started a collaboration project with the archeology department of the Roman ruins of Troia, the largest industrial center for fish salting in the Roman Empire.

It was located on the island of Ácala, as it was known in ancient Rome, at a time when the peninsula of Troia had not yet been formed. These are the ruins of the largest industrial fish salting center in the Roman Empire, occupied until the 6th century.

To learn more about the Roman ruins of Troia visit the chapter of our website:

The Roman influence on Sado

Soon we will provide more information about this collaboration, which aims to reproduce Garum's form of production in one of Tróia's cetarias.
